Training Course on Improving Women’s Performance in the Kuwaiti National Assembly: Workshop Four
The objective of the fourth civil society training course was to improve women’s knowledge of their rights and duties as contributors to public life in Kuwait. The sessions dealt with lawsuits and cases of personal status, the negative impact of the release of personal information and how to protect children and families from its effects, and the importance of transparency and its impact on electoral campaigns. This training course was the final of a four-part series which aimed to educate women on the opportunities and obstacles to advocating for their legal rights and engaging in political life, and to encourage collaboration among various civil society organizations on women's rights reform.
