Women's Rights in the Kuwaiti Personal Status Law and Bahraini Judicial Rulings (Practical)

The Practical Part of the Women's Rights in Kuwaiti Personal Status Law and the Bahraini Shari'a Judicial Rulings documents two national campaigns on women's rights and family law launched by civil society in the State of Kuwait and the Kingdom of Bahrain. In the State of Kuwait, the Women's Cultural and Social Society launched a national media campaign on women's rights and the Kuwaiti Personal Status Law, and in the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Bahrain Women's Union launched a national campaign on women's rights and the codification of family law. The practical portion not only describes the campaigns of these partner organizations,  but also places them within the framework of the larger movement for family law reform in each country.  Furthermore, the practical portion provides advocacy strategies and lessons learned for women’s rights activists in the Gulf region and beyond.
